Traditions

For Jülich, with its long history, customs are a matter of course. Almost 50 associations are active in the area. In the Rhineland, the carnival societies are a matter of course – both in the town center and in the villages. Shooting in the Jülich region is characterized by purely traditional as well as shooting sports communities. A special feature of the region are the May societies, which – as the name suggests – are particularly active in spring.
