Forschungszentrum Jülich has been located in the middle of the Stetternich Forest since 1956. With around 7,000 employees, it is the largest employer within the city limits. The science incubator is important due to the internationality of its employees, which shapes the character of the city’s population. In addition, the FZJ, with its global network, is considered a special image carrier for the city of Jülich.
